IndustryWeek claims there are four "essential truths" that will help you find success in your IoT initiatives. The first is to make security and privacy your top priority. It's vital that you keep your information safe! Next, make your data available to those who can use it. Think to yourself - who else could use this data? Then, close the loop. IndustryWeek said, "Not only do you need to share the data with everyone who needs it to make better decisions or to do their jobs more efficiently, but you must change policies and procedures to be sure the data flows in cyclical, not linear, fashion." Finally, rethink products and their roles. Continually refine your product until customers are truly satisfied.
