That data can then be used to help your business by reducing downtime and keeping your machines in tip-top shape! Automation World said, "Big Data would be a natural progression beyond IIoT because it uses the data captured from IIoT devices and other systems to identify events, diagnose root cause, and in some cases even predict these events." Cybersecurity is important in relation to IIoT and big data because there needs to be a focus on keeping your information safe and secure.

My first job out of college was as a manufacturing engineer at a paper mill.
