The invention of the telephone changed the world - and it changed business considerably! The same goes for inventions in transportation like cars and airplanes. 

Interesting Engineering said, "One of the very first technology breakthroughs considered to emerge in the fourth industrial revolution is the Internet of Things. This emerging technology is expected to play a major role in the 4IR by embedding with internet connectivity and electronics."
