After a dip earlier this year, manufacturing is on the rise again in the United States. The ISM Manufacturing Index numbers have been growing for the past two months, indicating that manufacturing activity has been increasing. If the index is over 50%, that means there is expansion within manufacturing in the country. Manufacturing was declining from May 2014 to its low of 48% In December of 2015. The index has stayed over 50% for the last year except last August when it dropped to 49.4%. The current positive trend is expected to continue.
