What you can learn from a high schooler about attracting young talent

With the current skills gap in manufacturing, everyone is trying to attract young talent! 

One high school student said that she still had a very old view of manufacturing. She thought jobs in manufacturing were repetitive, assembly line positions. After some time shadowing in the field, however, she changed her mind!

She recommended, "In order to better engage youth, manufacturers have to focus on aspects of manufacturing jobs that involve creativity and innovative ideas, and have to highlight how their company is creating change in the community."

Also, shadowing in high school changed her mind, so creating shadowing opportunities could be a good move for your business!
