Best states for manufacturing jobs

Manufacturing professionals are in high demand these days! Industry Week put together a list of the top states for manufacturing jobs based on NAM’s state data report from 2017. Notable mentions include New York, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Texas. At number 1 was California. They said, "The state employs 1,284,100. This figure represents 8% of the workforce. Manufacturing accounts for 11% of the total output in the state."

The manufacturing sector is growing at a good pace in the US,  and wages have increased right along with it.  Earlier this month the 2018 Second Quarter Outlook Survey from the National Association of Manufacturers reported that projected wage growth registered its fastest pace in 17 years.
