    All across the United States of America, there is concern about change in manufacturing and how employees will keep up with changes in job requirements. In New Jersey, state lawmakers are taking the bull by the horns, passing legislation that institutes a new Legislative Manufacturing Caucus. Over the next year, they hope to further develop legislation that would lead to the expansion of current technical vocational schools, as well as fund the creation of new ones. Curriculum at technical vocational schools aims to train workers for work in manufacturing careers, but in a more expedited and direct process than a four year degree offers. New positions being created in manufacturing are safer and higher paying - and who better to work them than employees already in the field? A could of these expedited classes and they’ll be ready to step into those new shoes.

    Vocational and technical workers in the state are set to get a large boost from the government. State lawmakers Tuesday created the Legislative Manufacturing Caucus, which will work over the next year to create legislation that would issue state obligation bonds to fund the creation and expansion of technical vocation schools in the state. Those schools are generally designed to train workers without four-year college degrees for careers in manufacturing, and give them a path to a four-year degree. Read More
