    GM making big changes

The big news in manufacturing is that GM is making cuts. Axios reported that, "General Motors said Monday that it will cut 15% of its salaried workforce, estimated to be around 14,700 people in North America, and that it will idle factories in Michigan, Ohio, Maryland and Canada." According to reports, 25% of the company's executive staff will be cut. The restructuring also involves a future focus on electric vehicles, crossovers, trucks, and SUVs. The company's stock has risen since the announcement.
