    Reaching millennials in manufacturing on social media

    Manufacturing is an essential part of Utah’s economy, but hiring new, young employees is becoming more difficult. “We don’t believe millennials have a negative image of manufacturing; they have no image of it. They really don’t see manufacturing. . . We want them to have a better knowledge that they are surrounded by things that were made, and those are great jobs.” To fill this gap, manufacturers are using social media campaigns targeting millennials aged 19-27.
